Serena Williams is undoubtedly a power house, and an incredible woman, and this advertisement for Nike just adds to my respect for her.
As a sportswoman, she has had her fair share of stigma in the past over her passion for tennis – being called dramatic, crazy and hysterical.
In this ad she calls out this attitude, calling on women to follow their “crazy” and encourage women to ignore what other people think.
The ad showcased famous sportswomen – such as Simone Biles, San Antonio Spurs Assistant Coach Becky Hammon and Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad. By bringing these women together under one video, it spotlights how barriers have been broken and how people have been brought together through sports.
It is an inspirational, no-nonsense video that sticks to the message of the brand and calls out the recent misogyny.
Show them what crazy dreams can do.
LOVE this ad.

I hope this ad inspires all the women of color out there to be crazy enough to keep following their dreams. Thank you for this post and little reminder.
