It’s been a long time!

This is my week update, little as it will probably be. Personally, it’s been a bit of an off week – anxiety speaking. It’s not that I’ve been anxious about anything that I’m aware of, my body just seemed to go into responsive mode where it didn’t want to do anything or leave the house. Luckily, I’m finding it easier to ignore that voice.
I’ve been going to my internship at Doddington Hall which is a fantastic experience for me, I love going there and learning all the PR tips that I’m getting. Otherwise, it’s just been a case of getting to work!

Reading

Finished Reading:

Crooked Kingdom, by Leigh Bardugo
I loved this more than words can say. You can read my review however, which I wrote straight away after I finished the last page – I just had so many feelings. It’s so refreshing to read something that deserves the love and hype that it gets given.

Next to Read:

The Hate U Give, by Angie Thomas
It’s like I’ve decided to finally read the books that have been given high ratings, but I haven’t read yet. Looking forward to starting this and see how emotional I’ll get.

Watching

The 100
I’ve just finished watching the fifth season, and I actually really enjoyed this one. Even though it’s hard to keep this kind of show going, and come up with new threats and ideas – it did really well and I can’t wait to have access to the new season.

Peaky Blinders
I’m in the second season at the moment, and it’s just so addictive – I can’t quite put my finger on what it is about it, but I just want to keep watching.

Blogging

It’s been a slow week for me in terms of blogging – I really wasn’t feeling well at the start of the week, and I just needed a break away from blogging and the pressures. I generally try not to set myself too many strict timings for my blog, but I needed reminding why I loved blogging, and why I do it.

  • Does Being an Introvert Matter in PR?

    November 19, 2019 by

I put off going into the world of studying PR because I though it was an extrovert’s job and I identify more as an introvert. I remember my mum telling me one day that I would have to be more confident to go into that line of work, and while she was right in some… Read more

  • Christmas Nights Out and Assignment Stress

  • The semiotics of learning about Public Relations early

    November 12, 2019 by

I had a complete flashback to my Media A Level yesterday when I had a lecture on textual analysis. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy to see Roland Barthes be mentioned and immediately think about my old media teacher, who first introduced me to the world of media. I never thought about how… Read more

  1. We watched the final episode in the new the 100 season just last week, and OMG!!!! I need to know what happens next, they left it on such a cliff hanger..
Now I’m trying to get my bf addicted to the Walking Dead so I can continue watching it from where I left off (season 5 I think), so we are currently rewatching season 2.
