I haven’t done much reading this week, but I have been busy doing other things!

I finished reading A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer, and absolutely loved it. It has everything I need to enjoy a book: well-built characters, beautifully built world, interesting plot-line and actually amazing writing. I love her way of weaving everything together and still managing to maintain an effortless tone of writing.

I’m still making my way through Criminal Minds! I’m at season 8 now, and I can’t believe how much Spencer goes through on the show. I love his character, and I just wish he could be happy. You would have thought they’d have run out of ideas by now, but even though it’s the eight season – it’s still creepy and interesting.

My recent ones:
- Most anticipated reads for 2021Some of these books I’ve been bought as a gift, or have been meaning to read for ages and just simply want to get round to this year! These are my top books, that I want to read in 2021.…

I’ve been doing a lot of baking, I am trying to make millionaires’ shortbread at the moment, but I’ve definitely overcooked the caramel. It’s in the fridge setting at the moment, but I have a feeling it’s going to make a hard caramel layer. It’s a bit gutting, but it is the first time I’ve ever attempted to make caramel! Maybe it’ll still be edible!
How has your week been?
-Personally, Emma
